Biography: Mr. Tai-Long Phornprapha
Mr. Tai-Long Phornprapha (Tan Tài Lóng : ) was the son of Tseng-Yek Sae Tang and Tsai-Ngaw Sae Ngow. Born on July 4, 1890 in Kek Yea Sub-District, Teochew Province, Guangdong County, China. He had 11 siblings including Tai Long, 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
Mr. Tai-Long Phornprapha married to Mrs. Cheng (Cheng : ) in 1908 when he was 18 years old. Cheng was 2 years younger (born in 1892).
Tai Long and Cheng have 8 children together as follows :

4. Mr. Pairoj Phornprapha
5. Mrs. Pannee Charanwat
6. Mr. Preecha Phornprapha
7. Mr. Parinya Phornprapha

Mr. Tai-Long Phornprapha and his eldest son, Mr. Sindhu Phornprapha (Tan Sòng Xīn : ) emigrated to Thailand in 1929 and started working as coolie. Then he went back to China and returned to Thailand again. He built up a solid commercial business in 1931 by founding Tan Thong Huat Co., Ltd. which means “Tan Family will prosper together.” Starting with trading and buying used glass bottles and metal scrap, importing steel bars, machinery, and cars used during the war in Europe and Korea to be reconditioned for sale. This is how the Phornprapha family started.
